The Research and Development unit of Pishgam Damparvar Sepahan, in order to achieve its goals of producing knowledge-based products based on the latest global knowledge, has performed surgery on two fistulated cows. By utilizing this capability, the company designs its products based on extensive research within the animals’ bodies, ensuring that the resulting product is highly efficient and produced according to the animals’ needs. Additionally, with these facilities, it also aims to serve the livestock farms by:

• Measuring the degradability of dry matter, neutral detergent insoluble fiber (NDF), crude protein, and starch in various types of feed ingredients and total mixed rations (TMR) using the in-situ nylon bag technique.
• Measuring the starch content in the feces of dairy cows. Given the cost of animal feedstuffs like corn and barley grains, the efficiency of using grains in livestock nutrition is of special importance. Assessing the amount of starch excreted in the feces as a parameter affecting the productivity of grains in the diet can be considered.
• Measuring the iNDF content of various feed ingredients and total mixed rations. Forages are the primary source of fiber (NDF) in the nutrition of ruminants. Feed digestibility depends on many factors, including the proportion of the potentially degradable fiber fraction (iNDF) and the non-degradable fraction (pdNDF). Therefore, knowing the fiber fractions in different types of forages and livestock diets helps nutrition specialists in ration formulation.
• Determining the digestibility of dry matter, neutral detergent insoluble fiber, and starch in feed at the farm level. To determine feed digestibility, iNDF is used as an internal marker.
